Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union Hosted Fall Festival and Ribbon Cutting

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA – Saturday, October 28, 2023-Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union celebrated its grand opening for its Richmond Financial Empowerment Center at their location at 3601 Dill Road, Richmond, Virginia. The event had over 200 attendees from the community. The Credit Union’s mission is to enable the underserved, unbanked and no-credit population to build and fulfill dreams by taking the People “Advantage.”

The Petersburg-based credit union has been serving the Tri-Cities community since 1966 and hopes to expand to Richmond to help people who feel trapped in poverty. This was a great event at Trinity Family Life Center that introduced the entire community to Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union and brought awareness to affordable banking in the current bank desert of East Highland and Brooklyn Park.

The Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union Financial Empowerment Center has member advocates committed to educating the Richmond community on all financial topics including budgeting, credit, auto lending, mortgages, small business and entrepreneurship and more! They aim to keep people out of predatory lending and have products designed to help the credit-challenged increase their opportunity to create generational wealth.
