Martinsville, Virginia (November 6, 2023) ValleyStar Credit Union is pleased to announce Woody Windley as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective November 1, 2023. With an impressive background in finance and leadership, Woody will play a crucial role in steering ValleyStar Credit Union's financial strategy into the future.

Woody brings a wealth of experience to ValleyStar from his various financial leadership roles. Having spent seventeen years with Roanoke Valley Community Credit Union (RVCCU), as their President/CEO. During his time at RVCCU, Woody and his team shored up their financials and grew the credit union from $23 million to $102 million in assets. They also added three additional branches and performed two successful mergers. His expertise in financial management and strategic planning will be instrumental in advancing ValleyStar’s mission of providing superior financial services and empowering the communities it serves.

Woody holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting – Information Systems from Virginia Tech and has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Virginia since 1995. His extensive experience in the financial sector makes him well-suited to lead ValleyStar Credit Union's financial operations.
