Vizo Financial Staff Participates in Walk for Children’s Event
Vizo Financial raises $5,775 for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC
On June 3, 2023, Vizo Financial Corporate Credit Union’s staff and their families gathered virtually to live out the credit union’s “people helping people” philosophy by participating in Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation’s Walk for Children’s event.
Walk for Children’s is an annual family walk event that benefits Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC – a Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital – by bringing the community together and raising money for patient care.
Vizo Financial was a Patron Sponsor of Walk for Children’s and, with employees and their families, they collectively contributed $5,775 in support of the event.
“This is our seventh year participating in Walk for Children’s,” said Erin Doan, diversity, equity and inclusion director of Vizo Financial, “but every year, I still feel a sense of pride in how many employees we have participate in the walk. This year, we had fifty participants walk, including employees and their friends and family.”
The 2023 Walk for Children’s event collectively brought in $1,020,362!
“It’s an incredible experience watching our employees not only live out the credit union’s philosophy of ‘people helping people’ but also our cooperative principle of ‘concern for community’ and our core value of ‘passion for service’,” said Doan. “Our staff is remarkable, and we’re so thankful for their commitment and devotion to supporting our local communities and helping children in need.”
