Duties:

Argent Credit Union is seeking an Indirect Loan Processor I. This role will support Loan Administration by maintaining positive dealer relationships in a high volume and fast-paced environment while delivering superior service to our members. You will assist in the development and continuous improvement of policies and procedures for the role and maximizing use of technology in our systems. Meet or exceed key performance measurements for processing of indirect loans. Additionally, you will handle escalated situations as they arise and work with co-workers, dealership personnel and members to bring a timely and sound resolution. Review and approve overrides for some cases falling outside of established parameters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the receipt of indirect loan packets to ensure all the required documentation and requested stipulations are accurate and complete before funding.
• Identify red flags in any loan documentation to avoid potential fraud to the credit union.
• Setup and fund the new loans in the core servicing system.
• Onboard new members including input of relevant information into the core servicing system as well as the preparation and mailing of welcome packets.
• Pay appropriate monies to the dealership including appropriate compensation for the loan.
• Be familiar with one or more of the dealer finance networks: Dealer Track or Route One.
• Participates in beta testing of new loan software and enhancements releases as necessary.
• Actively participates in all branch and staff meetings to maintain awareness of organizational issues, promotional campaigns, stays current on policies, procedures, compliance and makes suggestions for improvement.
• Works to increase knowledge, technical skills and professional development through available internal and external sources.
• Works as a member of the Argent Credit Union team to ensure achievement of the credit union’s mission and goals.
• Maintains a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate.

Requirements:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience in customer service, loan processing or underwriting helpful.
• Minimum of one year experience in a customer-oriented environment.
