League Showcases 'Credit Union Difference' with Federal Advocacy Work
It’s been a busy week of advocacy work at the federal level, with your League working to showcase the ‘Credit Union Difference.’
- League Writes Sens. Warner, Kaine Ahead of Senate Testimony from CFPB's Chopra (In a letter to Sens. Warner and Kaine, we noted the harm being done to credit unions by the CFPB’s one-size-fits-all approach to regulation.
- CUs, League Hold Virtual Meeting with Congressman Connolly (Connolly noted his interest in a bill that boosts credit unions’ ability to lend to veteran-owned businesses.)
- With Congress Pushing Toward Holiday Recess, League Engaged with Lawmakers, Watching for Attempts to Advance Harmful Legislation (We’re engaged with lawmakers as Senate and House conferees work to iron out differences in each chamber’s version of the NDAA, with particular focus on bankers’ efforts to win the same treatment as credit unions when it comes to leases for on-base facilities.)
League Legislative Reception Being Held Dec. 14 in Norfolk
We’re excited to announce a Legislative Reception in Greater Hampton Roads, with Congresswoman Jennifer Kiggans scheduled to attend! Join us on Dec. 14 at ABNB Federal Credit Union (129 West Little Creek Rd., Norfolk, 23505) as we welcome lawmakers and local officials. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with lawmakers in preparation for a busy 2024 General Assembly.
League, TRGroup Ask CUs to Complete Compensation, Salary Survey
As part of our collaborative partnership within the TRGroup, your League invites you to participate in our 2024 Compensation/Salary Survey. Setting competitive pay structures for your employees can be challenging and involves considering many factors carefully. To assist you in this task, TRGroup has partnered with the Cornerstone Credit Union League’s research department to gather information on salary and benefits.
