FinCEN: Alabama Court Ruling on Corporate Transparency Act Only Covers Named Plaintiffs; Other Must Comply with Reg
Attorney Brandy Bruyere made note of a press release from FinCEN in response to Friday's ruling from a federal court in Alabama that the Corporate Transparency Act is unconstitutional.
FinCEN confirms that the CTA will not be enforced against the named plaintiffs, including those who were members of the National Small Business Association as of March 1, 2024. In other words, the federal government will not view joining the NSBA now as a way around CTA compliance for businesses, she said.
