League Meets with Virginia Senator Suhas Subramanyam

Advocacy staff from the League and America’s Credit Unions met virtually with Virginia Senator Suhas Subramanyam (D-32). Senator Subramanyam is the Democratic nominee for Virginia’s 10th Congressional district. We discussed legislative and regulatory issues impacting credit unions, the value of the tax exemption for credit union members, and the landscape of credit unions in the 10th district. Senator Subramanyam is a favorite to be the next Congressman from the 10th district, and we thank him and his staff for taking the time to meet with us and discuss credit union issues.
