VA-Based CUs Send 3 Crashers to the GAC
The 2024 Crash the Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) delegation comprises talented credit union professionals from across the country who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the credit union industry. 3 participants this year hail from Virginia-based credit unions: Sabrina Guerin, MBA, CCUFC of Virginia Credit Union, plus Benjamin Soto & Tyjai Richardson, CCUFC, both of Chartway Credit Union. Gearing up for the upcoming GAC, they reflect on what interests them in the Crashers program...
"I am deeply passionate about the credit union movement. The collective mission of people helping people resonates with my fervent advocacy for financial well-being and inclusion. Crashing the GAC presents an extraordinary opportunity to engage with like-minded emerging leaders who share the same enthusiasm for the unique principles of credit unions."- Sabrina Guerin
"Driven by a deep-seated passion for the well-being of others and a curious mind, I am naturally drawn to the Crashers Program. Curiosity fuels my desire to continually learn and share knowledge with those I care about and serve. The GAC offers invaluable insights into how I, and Chartway Credit Union, can enhance our service to members. Additionally, I was inspired by fellow Crasher, Tyjai Richardson, who spoke beautifully of his experience." - Benjamin Soto
Tyjai Richardson (Chartway Credit Union), who was a Crasher last year, returns this year as a mentor for the Crashers. Read his advice for newcomers and experience reflection below.
Congratulations to all of our GAC Crashers!
