VACUL Announces Board Election Results; New Officers

Member credit unions elected the following individuals to the Virginia Credit Union League Board of Directors. The League is the statewide trade association for the Commonwealth's 99 member-owned, not-for-profit credit unions.

The election results were announced at the League's Annual Meeting on May 2, in Washington, D.C.

Congratulations to the following individuals:

  • Kevin Alfred, of Roanoke-based Blue Eagle Credit Union, has been elected to a one-year term.
  • Charlie Mallon, of Chesapeake-based ABNB Federal Credit Union, has been elected to a one-year term.
  • Joe Thomas, of Fairfax-based NextMark Credit Union, has been elected to a three-year term.
  • Chris Williams, of Henrico-based Henrico Federal Credit Union, has been elected to a three-year term.
  • Janine Williams, of Charlottesville-based UVA Community Credit Union, has been elected to a three-year term.

New League Board Executive Committee

Following the League Annual Meeting, the Board met to elect officers for the coming year.

  • Jeff Bentley, of Herndon-based Northwest Federal Credit Union, will serve as Chairman.
  • Paul Muse, of Yorktown-based 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union, will serve as Vice Chairman.
  • Janine Williams, of Charlottesville-based UVA Community Credit Union, will serve as Treasurer.
  • Bruce Six, of Dahlgren-based Topside Federal Credit Union, will serve as Secretary.
