CUs, League Meet With State Sen. Lionell Spruill

Credit union advocates from ABNB Federal Credit Union, BayPort Credit Union and your League today met with state Sen. Lionell Spruill (D-05) at an ABNB branch in Chesapeake.

During the meeting, they discussed the recent bank failures, the "Credit Union Difference," and credit unions' legislative priorities for the 2024 General Assembly session.

Sen. Spruill is a strong supporter and a good friend of Virginia's 104 member-owned credit unions. He is facing a contentious primary race, which pits him against another incumbent state senator for the Democratic nomination in the newly formed 18th Senate District.
