Home Interchange Legislation Expected to Make Return on Capitol Hill
League Preparing for Likely Reintroduction of Interchange Legislation
We’re preparing for the likely introduction of new interchange legislation that would bear a steep cost for consumers and credit unions. Your League and our system partners remain fiercely opposed to the legislation and fought successfully to keep it from advancing during the last session of Congress.
"We believe that government intervention in credit card interchange will bring harmful disruption to a functioning marketplace," said League Chief Advocacy Officer JT Blau.
Your League has continued to keep this issue front-and-center with our Congressional Delegation, anticipating that the measure would be reintroduced.
