League's Emerging Professionals Network Draws 30 at Richmond Event
The Virginia Credit Union League’s Emerging Professionals Network held a networking working happy hour on March 30 at Hardywood Craft Brewery in Richmond.
More than 20 credit union emerging professionals attended the event, representing Virginia CU, Henrico FCU, ValleyStar CU, RVA Financial, Call FCU, Peoples Advantage FCU, UVA Community CU and Virginia State University FCU.
Three of the attendees -- Amanda Habansky (Peoples Advantage FCU); Anwarul Mir (UVA Community CU); and Danny Swanson (Virginia CU) -- have all served as past chairmen of the EPN Committee.
Through their leadership and the leadership of others, the League’s statewide Emerging Professionals Network (formerly Young Professionals Network) has grown from a handful of passionate CU advocates to more than 600 active participants from across the Commonwealth with the mission to “attract, develop, and retain future leaders within Virginia's credit union system by connecting, empowering, and engaging emerging professionals.”
Next up on the EPN calendar: League President/CEO Carrie Hunt will speak at the EPN’s Virtual Lunch and Learn on Wednesday, April 6. Hear her career journey and vision for the future of the EPN and the League!
