First Care Employees Federal Credit Union is looking for a dynamic and motivated Credit Union Manager to join our team. Job Summary

The Credit Union Manager will manage the development and implementation of all daily activities for the operation of the Credit Union and the Credit Union office and staff supervision. Participates and provides education about products and services pertinent to the Credit Union, staff, and members. Maintain a strong understanding of financial regulations and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations. Develop and implement strategies to meet credit union goals. Maintain a strong understanding of financial regulations and laws and ensure compliance. Manage daily operations, including loan processing, member services, and risk management. Collaborate with staff and the board of directors to develop and achieve short and long-term goals. Build strong relationships with members and the community to increase membership and drive growth. Provide leadership and mentorship to staff to ensure high-quality customer service and job satisfaction. Develop and keep budgets and financial reports to accurately reflect the credit union’s financial position.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative and maintenance functions for accounts, share certificates, direct deposits, and electronic transactions.
  • Processes fraud claims and disputes by collaborating closely with the member and servicer to adjust account discrepancies.
  • Address bad checks.
  • Supervises, trains, and develops staff and provide relevant monthly education.
  • Recognizes exceptional performances, acknowledges deficits, and ensures that education is available to the employee.
  • Keeps the Board of Directors up to date on requirements by governing agencies. Keeps the Board of Directors informed of critical and/or unusual events that may affect the credit union.
  • Maintains current knowledge of the regulations of the National Credit Union Administration and federal laws that relate to the Credit Union.
  • Assess risk(s) of all financial transactions, executes and collects data to analyze the present and future financial status of the Credit Union.
  • Directs the implementation of Credit Union polices, procedures and practices, including establishment services. This includes but is not limited to collection of delinquent loans.
  • Supports the staff efforts to minimize delinquent loans and analyzes patterns and potential for avoiding delinquency.
  • Compiles and reports financial statements as needed for the Board of Directors and external reporting agencies.
  • Performs all accounting functions which include, but are not limited to month-to-month end journal entries, reconciliation of bank and investment accounts, balance sheets and preparation of financial statements and other documents, as needed.
  • Prepares annual budget and presents it to the Board of Directors for review and approval.
  • Direct communication with the legal team when writing off delinquent loans and tracks the amount of return that results from these referrals.
  • Reviews policies and procedures yearly and presents them to the board for approval.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Experience with financial institutions or credit unions
  • Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) desirable

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
  • Exposure to cash transactions.
  • Acceptable Credit Record and background check.
  • One year of management/supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge and working experience with Microsoft office 365.
  • Familiarity with Fed Comp.
